Particle sizes collected were: TSP (total suspended particulates); PM10 (particulates <10µm); and PM2.5 (particulates <2.5µm). Minerals were identified using X-ray diffraction (XRD); particle morphology and composition were examined by scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDX). Major minerals detected are calcite, quartz, clay minerals and gypsum, with relative abundance related to sampling site, collection period, wind direction, sampling head, and total sample amount. The anomalously high calcite content appears a characteristic feature originated from calcareous soils of the region. SEM observations indicated a wide range of particle morphologies over the 1-50 µm size range, with spherical, platy, cubic, elongate and prismatic shapes and rounding from angular to rounded. Energy dispersive X-ray analysis of TSP samples from both sites for non-dusty periods indicated that the sampled mineral suite contained Al, Mg, Na, Cl, P, S, Ca, K, Fe, Ti, and Si, mostly reflecting calcite, quartz, aluminosilicates, clays, gypsum and halite. Additionally, As, Pb, Zn, Mn, Sc, Nd, W, Ce, La, Ba and Ni were detected in TSP, PM10 and PM2.5 samples collected during dust events.}, keywords = {Mineral Dust,Physico-Chemical Properties of Dust Particulates,mineralogy,Abadan,Urmia}, title_fa = {خصوصیات فیزیکی‌شیمیایی و کانی‌شناختی ذرات گرد و غبار و هواویز غرب ایران (مطالعۀ موردی: شهرهای آبادان و ارومیه)}, abstract_fa = {در این پژوهش خصوصیات فیزیکیشیمیایی و کانیشناختی ذرات گرد و غبار و هواویزهای شهرهای ارومیه و آبادان طی دورۀ زمانی6 ماهه در سه دامنۀ اندازۀ ذرات TSP،PM10 و PM2/5 به کمک پراش پرتو ایکس (XRD) و میکروسکوپ الکترونی روبشی (SEM) مجهز به پرتو ایکس پاشندۀ انرژی (EDX) بررسی شد. نتایج پراش پرتو ایکس نشان داد که بیشتر ذرات شامل کلسیت، کوارتز، کانیهای رسی و کمی ژیپس در نمونهها میباشند؛ گرچه کانیها با توجه به فصل، نوع نمونهگیر، مکان نمونهبرداری و مقدار نمونه در تفاوت بوده و با کاهش اندازۀ ذرات، میزان کوارتز کم شده و مقدار کانیهای رسی و ذرات سرب افزوده میگردد. مطالعات میکروسکوپ الکترونی روبشی اشکال مختلف ذرات اعم از کروی، صفحهای، مکعبی، استوانهای و منشوری با اندازۀ کمتر از 1 میکرون تا50 میکرون، بیشتر به صورت نامنظم، زاویهدار و تا حدودی نیمهگرد تا گرد را نمایش میدهد. نتایج پرتو ایکس پاشندۀ انرژی نیز عناصر Al، Mg، Na، Cl، P، S، Ca، K، Fe، Ti، C، O و Si را در نمونۀ TSP آبادان و ارومیه در شرایط عادی تشخیص داد. با شروع گرد و غبار علاوه بر عناصر مذکور، عناصر As، Pb، Zn، Mn، Sc، W، Nd، Ce، La، Ba و Ni در هر سه دامنۀ اندازۀ ذرات نیز دیده میشوند. نتیجه گرفته میشود که میزان بالای عناصر Ca، Si، Al، Na و K  نشانۀ حضور کانیهای کلسیت، کوارتز، هالیت، کانیهای فیلوسیلیکات و رسی است. در مجموع شهرهای آبادان و نواحی حاشیۀ خلیج فارس و دریای مَکران در مقایسه با شهر ارومیه از نظر غلظت، کانیها و عناصر، میزان و تنوع بالاتری داشته و نشانۀ چندمنبعی بودن گرد و غبار، هوای آلودهتر منطقه و ذرات معلق بیشتر میباشد.}, keywords_fa = {Mineral Dust,Physico-Chemical Properties of Dust Particulates,mineralogy,Abadan,Urmia}, url = {https://jrwm.ut.ac.ir/article_64110.html}, eprint = {https://jrwm.ut.ac.ir/article_64110_c18bfb6a68ea8d1449d7c78aea2df373.pdf} }
