Important Considerations

Submitted articles must be scientific-research and should include the following sections in order: Title (English), Abstract (English), Keywords (English), Title (Persian), Abstract (Persian), Keywords (Persian), Introduction, Materials and Methods, Research Findings, Discussion and Conclusion, Acknowledgments (optional), and References (in English).

🔹 Submission of the Main Document:
The main text (without author names) must be submitted under the title "Main Text File." Please refrain from including the author's name in the file name.

🔹 Author Information Registration:
Authors must ensure that at the time of submission, the full names of all authors, academic rank (e.g., student, instructor, assistant professor, etc.), and their complete and precise addresses (department, faculty, university, city, country) are registered in both Persian and English in the system. Additionally, the corresponding author listed in the system must match the corresponding author in the author information file. Any discrepancies are the responsibility of the authors.

🔹 Compliance with Journal Formatting:
According to the Editorial Board's decision, if an author fails to adhere to the formatting guidelines more than once during the initial submission, the article will be removed from consideration. Additionally, articles that do not incorporate the reviewers' feedback after more than one round of revision will be removed from the review process. Authors are strongly advised to carefully prepare and revise their manuscripts.

🔹 Thesis and Dissertation-Based Articles:
For articles derived from a master's thesis or doctoral dissertation, it is mandatory to include the names of all contributors (student, advisors, and co-advisors), and all must sign the commitment letter. The Range and Watershed Management Journal reserves the right to accept, reject, or edit submitted articles. Upon receipt, the article undergoes an initial evaluation, and if it does not comply with the journal's writing guidelines, it will be returned to the authors.

We sincerely appreciate the contributions of all authors. To enhance the quality of submissions and attract contributions from various authors, non-University of Tehran authors are limited to three article submissions per year to the Range and Watershed Management Journal. University of Tehran faculty members may submit a maximum of two articles per year. The order of author names in each article is irrelevant to this policy; it applies regardless of the authors' position in the manuscript.

🔹 Course Project-Based Articles:
For articles derived from course projects, seminars, theses, or dissertations of University of Tehran students, the corresponding author must be a faculty member of the University of Tehran.

Conditions That May Lead to Article Rejection Before Peer Review:

  1. Incomplete Author Information:
Authors must ensure that the full names (including first and last names) and complete addresses (department, faculty, university, city, country) of all authors are registered in both Persian and English in the system. These details must match the information provided in the author information file.
  2. Editorial Issues:
Articles with excessive editorial problems may be excluded from the review process.
  3. Failure to Follow Writing Guidelines:
Articles that do not adhere to the Range and Watershed Management Journal's writing standards may not be sent for peer review.

Important Notes:

  • Ensure that words in the manuscript are not connected incorrectly.
  • Formulas must be typed and should not be inserted as images.
  • Graphs and tables must use Persian text and numbers. Decimal numbers should be separated using a Persian decimal point, not a dot or comma. If English decimal numbers are required, they should use a period (e.g., 3.14).
  • Figures and graphs copied from external software such as Excel may become distorted during layout formatting. They should be appropriately transferred as images with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI.
  • Do not include author names or affiliations anywhere in the manuscript, including the acknowledgment section.
  • Avoid using academic titles (Professor, Associate Professor, Student, Engineer, Doctor, etc.) before names.
  • The ORCID ID of the first author and the corresponding author is mandatory.
  • If the research has received financial or institutional support, authors must acknowledge it.

Article Sections

  1. Article Title

The title should clearly define the research domain, describe key findings, and generate interest. It should be clear and informative, ensuring that readers understand the article's focus at a glance.

  1. Author Information

The full names of all authors should be listed beneath the title. Additional details, including institutional affiliation and country, must be provided. One author should be designated as the corresponding author, and their phone number, mobile number, fax number, mailing address, and email must be included.

The order of authors' names in the submission system must exactly match the order in the author information file.

  1. Abstract

The abstract should provide a concise summary of the article in one paragraph without any figures, tables, or references. It should cover the introduction, research methods, key findings, and overall conclusion. The English abstract must be a complete and accurate translation of the Persian abstract.

  1. Keywords

Keywords should represent the core topics of the article, allowing other researchers to locate relevant studies through searches. Each article must include 4 to 6 keywords in alphabetical order. In English, keywords should be in lowercase letters, except for proper nouns and specific terms that require capitalization.

  1. Main Body of the Article

The main body of the article should be structured logically, with a strong emphasis on results. The core sections are as follows:

Introduction

The introduction should present the research problem, review previous studies, and justify the research objective.

Materials and Methods

This section should describe the study area, research methodology, implementation process, statistical design, and evaluation methods.

Research Findings

All qualitative and quantitative results should be presented. If necessary, data can be categorized and visualized using tables, graphs, or images.

Discussion and Conclusion

The findings should be analyzed and discussed in comparison with previous research. The author may also provide recommendations for future studies.

  1. Acknowledgments

Authors who have received financial or institutional support are required to acknowledge the relevant organizations.

  1. References

The reference formatting guidelines can be found in the guideline file. Please download the file for detailed instructions.
