Heavy metal pollution is one of the most serious environmental problems that is spreading around the world. The purpose of this study was to determine the rate of pollution and enrichment of heavy metals inside and around the industrial town of Shiraz. For this aim, 20 surface soil samples were gathered from a depth of 0 to 15 cm from inside and around Shiraz industrial town, and the concentrations of Pb, Cr, Al, Mn, Cu, Zn, St, V, N, Co, Sc, Fe As was evaluated using the ICP-method MS. The results showed that the average concentrations of Cu, Pb, Mn, Cr, Al, Zn, St, V, Ni, Co, Fe, As and Sc are 75, 87.9, 541.6, 143.3, 21804.8, 275.4, 439.9, 173.3, 55.4, 12.0, 50579.3, 4.8, and 4.7 mg / kg, respectively. The results showed that the average concentration of all elements except Al (21804.8 mg/kg) and Sc (4.7 mg/kg) is much higher than the concentration of these elements in global soils. In addition, Cu, Pb, Zn, V and Cr show much higher concentrations than standard Chinese and Canadian standards. Calculation of the enrichment coefficient of the mentioned elements in soil samples indicates high enrichment of Cu (8.32), Pb (5.42), Zn (7.04), St (5.15), V (5.04), and Cr (5.34). The results of the present study indicate that the soils of the region are contaminated with Cu, Pb, V, Mn and Zn. Therefore, it is suggested to reduce metals in the environment by different methods.

Study of important soil properties and vegetation attributes can give us awareness of the potential of rangelands and make it possible to determine their condition. O In this regard, the present study was carried out with the aim of studying the structural and functional attributes of different growth forms on soil surface indices in the Mianjangal Catchment, Fasa. Eleven soil surface indicators were measured along three 100-meter transects using Landscape Function Analysis. The measured factors were classified to assess functional potentials (stability, infiltration, nutrient cycle). Structural attributes including number of patches, length and width of patches, the percentage of patch length to the transect length, patch area index and organization index were investigated. In general, four ecological patches including shrub, bush, grass and forb and the space between the patches (bare and litter) were identified in the study area. The organization index of patch area index were 0.41 and 0.03 in the study area respectively. The results showed that plant patches with different growth forms had different effects on ecosystem function. The growth form shrub had the highest stability, which had a significant difference with other growth forms. In terms of infiltration index in the study area, there were no significant differences between ecological patches with shrub and grass growth forms. Soil nutrient cycle also had a significant difference between ecological patches and also inter-patches. The shrub growth form had the highest amount of nutrient cycle.

Given the importance of having data on vegetation and soil in different geographical aspect, the aim of this study is the assessment the geographical aspect's impact on Functional Potential and soil surface indicators in Chhar-Bagh Summer Rangeland, Golestan province. For the study used the method Landscape Function Analysis (LFA) and main Geographical aspect. For this purpose, in the four main geographical aspect, three transects 100,m were established and along the transects type, length and width patches and interpatches were measured. To calculate the Functional Potential (Soil Stability, Infiltration and Nutrient Cycling and and Vegetation Organization Index). To investigate the functional significance potential of SAS Software and ANOVA, for mean potential functional classification of Duncan Test used. To investigate the soil surface along each transect, 5 plots and 11 indicators way quality and using the scoring tables and to check the normality of the data, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used. To investigate the significance Kruskal-Wallis nonparametric test and classification of soil surface indicators grouped Duncan test was used. The results showed a significant difference between the functional potential in different geographical aspects (P> 0.05), So that the highest percentage of functional potential to the north and lowest in the East was estimated. Vegetation organization index for geographical aspects North, South, East and west were respectively 0.53, 0.43, 0.38 and 0.51. The results showed that except cryptogam cover and Micro-topography indexes, all indicators were significant in different geographical aspects (P> 0.05).
